    Default T-5 Yokes

    Hi,
I am replacing the slip yoke (tail shaft bushing worn) and have a question about it.
Most yokes I see are 5.9" an the one out of my 93 is about 1.5" longer.
Seems that the longer one would be better as it goes on the output shaft farther.
Witch one do I go with?

I had a car buck the driveshaft from a bad u-joint on the freeway. I walked up and down the road about a mile looking for the yoke and never found it. Ended up going to the junkyard and every car at the junkyard had one that was about an inch longer. When I tried to install the driveshaft it was bottoming out before I could attach it.

I ended up hacksawing the about 3/4" of the end off just so I could get it off the side of the freeway. The last 1" or so didnt have any splines. Later on, I forgot all about it and kept driving the car that way, never had an issue with it. There must be at least two different lengths of yokes, but I'm not sure why or what the difference is.
