    Default Thoughts for wheels

Have 84 Anniversary T-Top with 85 front end, in process of getting a cowled hood or at least going with 83-84 cowl hood scoop, has 4 wheel disc brakes, the rear is an 88 t-bird rear with sn95 axles. I have a set of 18x10 and 18x9 FR500s but they seem to be hanging out about 1/8 to 1/4 inch out the backs, I also have a set of bullets that are 17x8 with 275/40 tires, asking thoughts on which wheels you all think would be the better choice for looks and best fitiment. also who or where can I get a good photo shop of the car with the mods I am thinking. I also have a saleen rear wing that is on it, if I do the Bullets I was thinking of painting to centers white like the car. I think this is what I want to achieve.

Given the “GT” was an 85-86 thing, it looks like all the trim was replaced to match the bumper

My personal .02 is I like the mesh (which are still make in the 5x4.5 for the 5 lug swap people). Given the choices above I would stick with what you have, I have always had a thing for those rims.

I have a set of gold mesh that I found and bought for my white 85 GT TTop car, mine isn't quite as nice as either of your's though. Nor have I had the time to mount them.

Maybe a little late, but here is what it would look like with the cowl hood and Bullitts. I did my conversion a long time ago, so the center caps aren't on there, and she needs ALOT of attention, but at least it will give you an idea.

I'm usually not a fan of the bullit wheels but that looks great.

I would switch to SN95 flanges on fox length axles. Summit and Moser and a few others sell them, get your track width back in check. North Racecar sells brake brackets or you can cut a notch in the existing and swap them side for side per the 5 lug thread

SVO or 05-09 wheels have a more desirable offset if you leave the SN axles. I would not go that route in rear because you need a spacer in front to get wide like the rear. Or if you run 05-09 rims in back and 94-04 in front the depth of the rear rims are disappointing looking imo

After seeing a lot of Novas and Chevelles with them in small sizes like 14” and 15” the torque thrusts look less than desirable in larger diameters to me. Maybe it’s just me on the bigger sizes. Not my fav, but that’s my $0.02.

    Mesh is awesome.

At least it’s not pony on a four eyed or other death warmed over sins from the 90’s.

(explain — most pony wheels for same came from crashed cars)
