my '13 ram HFE has an electric vac pump ..
maybe just a vac. reservoir to start ? see if that helps ?

Seems like lots of new vehicles are set up like this. Not having any sort of issues, just looking to learn something new.

ah, gotchya, and thanks..

I've been (somewhat regular) on NATO (Turbocoupe/XR7 site) AS 86 XR7 5spd since '08, and of course turbododge (detobias) for longer
joined here mainly to sell my XR7 but will jump in if I feel I have something useful.. my overall '4-eye' knowledge is pretty narrow (um 2.3t anyone?) but I'll try to help the community if I can

so.. I'm guessing the new(er) cars which have Stop/Start (like my '13 HFE Ram) will have an electric vac. pump to operate the HVAC & other systems when the engine is 'off'; keep yur eyes peeled when junkyard shopping
