From my recollection, scuff with scotch brite pad, prime and paint. Of course, I'm trying to remember over 20 years ago
conmech - aka Marshall
Pending build-1983 Mercury Capri RS NOT staying as it left the showroom floor......
Sonic blue pearl, sand beige, netted halos, FR500 wheels and shiny under the hood.
Make sure to clean it well with wax/grease remover before starting to sand. You want to make sure you get any and all release agents off the part before moving forward. You can also use more aggressive stuff such as MEK if you have it, works very well, but is strong stuff. Once you have cleaned the parts completely then you should need nothing more than what Conmech mentioned above, sand prime, possibly sand again and paint. Good Luck!
