    Default 5 speed pedals

Would a 5 speed pedal assembly from a Mustang work in a 1986 Turbo Coupe? If yes, is it year specific?

Can the stock auto console work with a 5 speed shifter?

Yes. The pedal assy will work.

The console will work with a manual, as long as you have the correct shifter plate. 85-88 ones will work on your 86.

The only difference is that the auto cars did not have the manual "hump" in the trans tunnel. It gives a little more room for the manual trans to move upwards and had locations for the manual rubber shifter floor boot to attach to. You can get by without it, but it does require a little cutting.

You can acquire one of the manual "humps" and attach it to your trans tunnel, if you so desire.

What trans and bell are you planning on using?

Have a T5 from an 87 TC, no bell housing yet, just starting to acquire parts & pieces.

Not sure what you mean by "shifter plate"

The shifter surround plate. (Assuming you're just manual swapping an 86TC with a floor shifter)

You will want a cable-pull bell. The 87-88's are hydraulic and you'll need a different pedal assy, as well as a few other bits to make that swap, of you go that route. (The trans will work with a cable, though)

@ZEN50 I understand you might be looking for a tranny hump kit (and no, it's not a condom!)...
