    Default 1979 vacuum diagrams

    Does anyone have the vacuum diagrams for a 79 302 manual trans car? I just rebuilt the carb and want to make sure everything is hooked correctly. There were some lines plugged and fittings capped when I got the car.
    I looked in the fep library but all I found was 2.3 vacuum schematics.

    You will need your calibration number to find the right diagram.

    It can be found on the sticker on your valve cover.
    This shows all of what you will eventually need.

    Calibration sticker details from FoxChassis posts.

    Davids car is automatic, but this is the general idea...

    C1 KJ326AA

    C1= Cleveland Engine Plant 1

    K = ?

    J = Thermactor w/ A/C ?

    326 = 5.0L engine (300-380) ?

    A = design level ?

    A= ?

    Thanks!

    A = design level
    A = calibration & revision level

    Then you use Mr K's system and get 58 choices. That's normall. You eliminate the wrong choices, and you get your 5.0L 8 CYLINDER 302 CID Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label.

    Easy as AC Zap Pow DC.....

    You can work backwards from the VECI label, but it has to be manual, not this auto one.

    I'd punt for this one
