Default Can you adapt a 1994 F150 remote mount tfi to an SVO?

I’m currently parting out a 1994 f150 which gave up its engine for my 1983 Mustang GT. While parting the truck out I noted that it had a remote mount TFI. I’m looking for information about how to use the remote mount and tfi from the v8 F150 on an 86 SVO. Can it be done?

Yes, you can remote mount the TFI on your SVO. I can't speak to the specific wiring details, but should be pretty simple. There are kits available on Ebay to do exactly what you are considering. Good luck!

There are tutorials on the web about how to do it. I pulled a TFI heat sink from an E-150 and modified it to fit the TFI module on my 3.8 V6 and remote mounted it on the driver's fenderwell. I don't know if you can use the actual TFI module from the F-150 (I believe no), but if your SVO TFI module is in good working condition it can be used.

Here is one how to: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...mote_tfi.shtml
