    Default 1984 Thunderbird V8 Tampa $5000

Pretty clean preserved Thunderbird. I wouldn't mind owning this thing.

That's a very interesting combination. Base model, leather sport seats, no cruise control and hand crank windows. Looks like manual seats as well.

    Very interesting combo.

    No A/C as well.

Yeah, I found it interesting that they went with the upgraded seats and the V8 and nothing else. Well I guess the AM/FM was an upgrade since I think an AM radio was still standard in 1984. Overall, just a really sharp car. The lack of convenience options don't bother me.

My first car was a 1986 cougar my dad picked up for $110 at a police auction. He had just blown the motor in his 1991 crown vic wagon and the cougar had the same motor and ran.

He ended up getting the motor rebuilt instead and the car sat. When I turned 15 my dad said I had to take auto mechanics because he "didn't want me to wake him up at 3am because I snuck out and needed a jump" before he would let me get my license. He didn't want me to touch the crown vic and my teacher said he would give us extra credit if we could bring in an old car to work on.

It was a base model almost stripper, didn't even have a passenger side mirror. Only options were 5.0 and full digital dash. It was a really good car and I loved it to death. About the time I turned 19, the shifter broke off the colum when I got it stuck in snow and was aggressively trying to rock it out of a snow bank. I left it overnight and it got towed.

I'd trade just about anything to get it back.
