Default New Show With Fox and A Woman

Did you see the previews for the new ABC show Stumptown?
It is about a female Marine veteran who now works as a private investigator.
She drive a Fox Mustang. In the preview she jumps over something looks like a bridge opening.
Then the car is flying through the air.

There was supposed to be a similar type show a few years are using a 4th gen mustang. It had to be a red mustang and opening scene had a helicopter following overhead. I was in discussions about using my 03 Mach 1 but the stripes on the hood were a problem.

I think there's a promo with her getting into a 1st-gen GTO (?after she destroys the Mustang?)

Not the first Aero driven by a PI.
Remember Robert Urich as Spencer for Hire? After his 65/66 was blown up,
he got an 87 Aero to replace it. I think fans hated it, because his salvage yard buddy
rebuilt the 65/66 for him in a latter episode.
I refer to it that way because the producers removed any different trim to be able to use
    each without anybody catching on.
Like Guy Fieri running around in a 67 Camaro in early shows, then new producer gets him a 68 in latter shows

Cobie Smulders from 'How I Met Your Mother' fame. I just hope like hell it isn't one of those "cancelled after 13 episodes" deals. Seems too good to be true. Like 'Rock-n-Roll Jeopardy' which only lasted what, one season? lol

MISSED IT (I knew that was going to happen) So how was it? 5.0 probably gets totaled in the first episode, right? lol

Looks like that car has enough bracing to last a jump or 2. Lots of padding on the front A pillar bars.

Mustang survived the jump and any and all abuse although it's hard to start in many scenes much to her shame.....and the show.....well one word sums it up.......TRITE.......!!!!!!!!!!!

Also it has noticeably squeaky drivers door... No 5.0 badges (sacrilegious) in any scenes...

Other typical TV car stuff like they busted off a side view mirror in a fight scene and it was there again in the next look, fog lights in one scene gone in the next...

It was ID'd to be a '92 GT at one point...

Thought the "bump on" cassette deck was funny.

All in all the car is made out to just be a POS... Bastards... lol

I thought the show was ok. I'll watch the next episode. Maybe she'll spend a few bucks on it and make it nicer...

To me it's a redo of Longmire, a crime fighter with issues, an Indian friend, and rides a "horse".
If the next show has her looking for someone offing people with a Sharps rifle, I nailed it.
As for the Mustang being a beater, remember Columbo's Peugeot convertible?

I enjoyed that IMDB sub-website years ago when it was in its infancy, great suggestion you made here.

I even contributed to it when, one late night 4am, I spotted a 1984 Mercury Capri in the true-crime foresnic documentary-drama "The New Detectives" (aka The New Detectives: Case Studies in Forensic Science)

OK, show was so-so, but the automotive continuity really sucked! Locked in the trunk of a Fox Body? Or the bump on cassette they are trying to eject while driving in neutral?...there were more, but it was freaking painful. Maybe I am picky but jeez, respect the Fox!

It was a better deal than you thought. She paid $600 six years ago for a vomit colored POC.
