    Default HVAC vacuum lines help

I bought an 85 mustang and it had no heating or cooling system. I finally got all the pieces. I need help with the vacuum lines and where they all connect to. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got an 86 base coupe. It doesn't have any vacuum connections. Heat and cold is driven by cable actuated flapper doors and fan. The 87+ cars had the vac operated blend doors and stuff, as I recall.

    Welcome to the Forum!
Imho, you need the Dealer Service Manual to work on a car.
Otherwise, you waste time and a lot of money.
Thankfully, there are a number of manuals for Fox mustangs.
Imho, eventually, you should get them all, if you're planning on keeping the car.
Fwiw, most people are SOL if they take an older car to a mechanic to have a non-common problem fixed.
    That's life.

For the vacuum lines, get the following book:

For the Dealer Service Manual, get the following books:

Ok, interesting, the vac setup is AC only because my 86 base car has pretty much the same cable setup as my 1979 did.

AC cars use vacuum and a cable for the hvac. Only 1 vacuum supply line comes from the engine. Non ac cars use 2 cables.

Dealer installed A/C uses cables as well. There are two boxes under the dash and two blower motors.
