I am wanting to go back to a stock shifter for originality . Any detailed write up on how this is done? I don't want to break anything because of the interiors pristine condition.
Thanks in Advance, James

I’m sure it’s pretty easy. Pop the bezel off and you should be able to reach 5he 4 bolts on the shifter boot. The shifter is below that.
Worst case, remove the console. There are a couple of screws under the ash tray and some inside the console . Remove the tray under the eb rake as it’s fragile. Unplug the electronics at the front.

10-4. You have to remove the console on the four eyes apparently.. The 87-93 cars is easy peasy, lol! Thanks!
