Fellow Mustang Fans,
I've scoured these threads and put together some information I'd like to confirm. First, it's a 1985 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L with 4-barrel carburetor.
According to what I've read, I should have a fuel filter at the carburetor. Correct? From my initial review, I thought I'd have an in-line filter near the fuel tank...nada. From further reading, those are for fuel injected motors. Correct?
I've traced the fuel lines from the tank to the carburetor and have not found a fuel filter. The steel line from the mechanical fuel pump runs up to the carburetor and threads into it.
Am I missing something? Where else should I look? Thanks.
