    Default Fox Wagon

    Yes, any of those...
    1978 - ' 83 Zephyr, Fairmont (even Granada, Cougar)

prefer 1983-'86 LTD/Marquis and in New England
or the north east (as I currently have no trailer). Like to drive it 4 or 5 hrs (one way) or less.

Mechanically, I can deal with (even if not running)
Prefer a grade 4 or 3 body/interior (as I wish to turn it into a DD) and -0- or min customizig.

No offers turned away (rollers, etc) E of Mississippi - that's 28 states...
    Will e-mail about others.
    MUST B a Wagon

You'd turn down an '82 Cougar or Thunderbird?

    sorry for the late post-back,
Yes, I would 'turn down'. Looks nice, tho (wait, that's not it - in red). Very remotely a hatch.

Yes, I've had waggys the last 40 yrs or so. Sedan now 3, 4 yrs. (well, I still use the '66 bronk, but it is not an ol mans DD). Want
to get back to the wagons. This fox is right sized & would make a hellofa st car w/the max.sports suspension mods (or the Bilstien Street or Track) if/when the 3.8L blew. Finding the sfi to B something w/the bent8 for my deep consideration, along w/an AOD.

Did you ever find your wagon? Mine is EFI, AOD, cold air (just reworked the whole AC system, new compressor etc..) rear disc, 8.8. new heater core, If you want more info let me know. I'm going to list it soon and hit ebay again. I had it on ebay earlier this year but it developed a TPS issue that I've fixed on the day of the sale of all things... $13,500

chrisful hasn't logged on to the site since February. Best to PM him.

FWIW: in 1982 (only), FoMoCo built Thunderbird and Cougar wagons.

Hatches swap. Tailgate latch stuff, trim, and wiring changed but if you get all the parts its easy enough to figure out. Rear wiper was an option some years and can be swapped, but bracing isn't there if it didn't have it originally; probably wouldn't take anything exotic to bend up a mounting plate. Switch was an on/off/squirter setup that mounted where the amp push-pull was on premium sound cars. I've got the switch in my spare parts pile along with the trim plate; but if I was making it from scratch I'd snag parts and switch from an 80s Escort wagon or the wiper motor from a newer Cherokee.
The fluid reservoir for the squirter was in the rear inner fender trim where the little cargo box option was (drivers side behind the wheel arch).
My last wagon (1979 Zephyr) got an 86 Marquis tailgate with wiper and swing-up window, and rear air deflector.
I don't have most of the parts anymore, but I came across a spare pair of the air deflector mounts in my parts bin last week.

yup, it's the way to go. I might have mentioned the Cherokee swap. Trouble w/the 1st is no more storage space as the house went w/the Great Recession in '08. Shucks... a lill switch? I could have a whole spare liftgait waiting...no more. Dwn szed to a lill §8 apt.BUT

Right now I need the whole wagon:
fair to poor mechanically, even no drive train, fair interior (I can sit in most anything till I get it addressed), but good body '83/6 LTD or Marquis wagon most nation wide, prefre drivable in east 1/2 of the usa. Too old to do alota body wrk. I have no trailer is why these last conditions but for the right one/price I can geta tow...
Still uncertain about the granada, zepher'n fairmont.

Huh? Not mine. Typical factory inline six granny car. Appears to have exterior and interior decor group (top of the line options).

I'd bet with some quick p.m. it would drive cross country with minimum fuss. I done that with far worse.

The Crag's List guy U linked me to sez its a 3.8L
And would your say "p.m." means it is running now but rough?

Preventive Maintenance: replace cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, etc., Change all the fluids at Jiffy Lube.

I know nothing about the car that isn't in the ad.

Seller is ignorant about the car. Ask him for more pics.

Correction to above, from wikipedia "Ford Granada":

Shared with the Fairmont, a 2.3-L Lima inline-four was the standard engine, with a 3.3-L inline-six (the Ford 200 six, under metric displacement) as an option. For 1982, the inline-six was replaced by a 3.8-L Ford Essex V6.

    see it listed elsewhere?

    Too bad.

    good.
Very inscrutable, not conducive to open communication abt vehicle and so nota sale either.
Just "Gimmie the $, come get." no feedback = usually phissing. As bad as FB Mrkt Pl now...
Thanks any way. Enjoy yours, thnx for the try~
