1D smoke metallic 85 GT / Looking for 1B medium charcoal metallic pics

Hi, this is my recently painted 85 GT in paint code 1D smoke metallic. I choose it off of the 1986 Mustang color, but was there a paint code 1B called medium charcoal metallic? My 1D seems to be darker than a friends old car that was an original color in 1986, just wondering if anyone has any pictures of a mustang in color code 1B Thanks

"Smoke Metallic" was the Capri paint color name.
"Dark Grey Metallic" was the Mustang paint color name.

Same paint code 1D.

There was a 1B paint code in 1983 and 1985 on Capri and Mustang. Both called it "Medium Charcoal Metallic".

I have recently bought a 1986 Mustang GT with a door tag that matches the car by vin The car has several layers of paint on it and the engine compartment is dark grey. The tag in the door has the 1B paint code. Is it possible that the car was original 1B in 1986 on a Mustang GT hatch no roof or T-tops???

It looks like you are using the flash on the camera/phone. It is bouncing straight back and washing out the photo. Try turning it off and using a small flashlight that is illuminating the tag from the side/at an angle.
