    Default Raced my bro

Got around to racing my brothers 1974 charger 383 which is 60 over balanced etc. a purple mopar cam about 240 at .50, ported max wedge heads, single plane, 2500 stall, 3.91 gears and a ratchet shift on a built 727.
    Vs my 78 futura 302, .30 over balanced 10.2:1, 274h cam 230 duration, afr 165 heads, dual plane, 2500 stall, 3.31 gears, a built c4 column shift.
I beat him both times first race heads up I jumped 2 cars off the line and at 115mph let off and still ahead.
2nd race I gave him 2 lengths, by the end of 1st I was going by, I shifted at 6k this time not 5200 and found it really leaves him from 5-6k.
Next kinda race he had 4 lengths, he hammerd it and my other brother got in my car then we chased him down and I went by at a light jog of a pace at 125-130mph.
Both cars have limited slip and zero wheel spin at launch He has 295 50/15 and I have 235 60/14.
Doing subframes on both as his roof has a 18" rip in the sheetmetal..

Raced one of my younger brothers one day in the mid 80's.
    My 79 2.3T 4sp Cobra vs his 86 Cavalier Coupe 2.8 V6 Z24 automatic.
Even. Win one, lose one. From a roll to 50.

My brother is going to turbo his 383 because he can not have a car that is slower. He has a ffr cobra with 450rwhp that would blow my car away but he can not take the loss with his dodge. I am thinking should have built a 351w 427 stroker with 12psi boost... the extra 10-12k was not in the budget..

I agree when it feels good to win. Years ago I raced my brother when I had my 86 Mustang gt that was modified slightly. My brother had a 1995 trans am. We raced with our t tops off to make it fare. We raced from 50mph to 100 mph. I was staying ahead.
