    Default My new tattoo

Three weeks ago I lost my wife of 42 years after a brutal 4 year battle with cancer. I'm slowly coming to terms with the loss and today I went and got this tattoo:

I didn't need them to draw anything up for me as I knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in. She was big time into collecting angel figurines so I made sure she had a pair of angels on her tombstone. Yesterday when I gave the final approval for the stencil I got a copy of the ones that are going on her stone. I went home and shrank them down, selected a font I liked then found a rose pic I liked. A little cut and paste work and I had the flash.

It's still hard to believe she's gone, but at least the end came easy for her. I take some comfort in that at least.

Very nice work! So sorry to hear the sad news. At least she's in a better place now.

42 years together is unheard of these days. My condolences to you and your family.

I'm sure she's smiling about the angels you included.

Thanks guys. Today would have been our 42nd anniversary. It's been 3 weeks she's been gone and I don't think it's fully sunk in yet.

It's always been clear from your posts that you're one amazing guy, so she had to have been an incredible woman. The tattoo is absolutely lovely and a fitting tribute. My condolences.
