figured that would get some looks and laughs...
But seriously, 1982 Capri 5.0 with 4 speed SROD and 7.5 3.08 rear end in it.
I have had this binding noise for a little while now but it is getting noticeably worse. It is a binding type noise. Not the howl of a wheel bearing going out.
Typically when turning at slow speeds and for sure when backing up.
Last weekend, I replaced the output shaft bushing and seal on the trans and then also the pinion seal as it was leaking.
Job went smooth and I added fluid back into the diff until it ran out the hole when the car was level.
This noise has been present prior to last weekends repairs but it seems to be increasing.
Thoughts?
I probably should have drained the diff completely when I did the pinion seal but I didn't.
I use synthetic 75-90 in trans and diff.
Thanks for any help...
