I was just wondering if anybody had done a delete of these molding pieces and how it looks ?

Are you asking about deleting the pin stripes in the middle of the moldings or removing the moldings all together?

Sorry for the confusion, I wanted to say strips but it came out stripes. I would be interested in doing away with the moldings completely if it can be done and still look as if it was it could have come from the factory that way. Has there been any successful attempts for this modification that you guys know of?
No?...I thought sure somebody would have done this....guess not. Well thanks anyway.
A lot of people have removed the side moldings and just painted the car. It doesn't look bad until you get to the front and rear where they meet up with the bumper covers. There are pictures around that show this.
As mentioned above, many people have removed the moldings and just painted that whole car a solid color. Personally I am not a fan as something just seems off to me, but you may feel different.
IMHO you have to install the thicker moldings that meet up to the front and rear bumper. When those are left off everything just looks wrong and abrupt. You could also do similar to the GT350 and the SVO where you have the moldings at the front and rear and then a small rub strip down the middle of the body line. This gives you a more finished look again IMHO and it does provide some door ding protection also. Good Luck!

Another option is to go with the svo style, wide in the front and on the sides.

"does provide some door ding protection"
Found out long time ago do not park, anywhere anytime, next to a 1970-1981 Camaro/Firebird.
They have curved doors stamped with a sharp point, that can ding our doors good above any molding.
