Default 1979 E brake trim bezel

Greetings all. Restoring my 79 mustang interior and this model came with out the center console. It has the trim bezel around the shifter and should be one covering the E brake hole. However the trim piece for the E brake has been long gone. Question, is there any reproduction pieces out there or what other year model can i get one out of?

    Thanks

No reproductions that I am aware of. The ones from the Pinto and Mercury Bobcat are the same. You can find them NOS on eBay from time to time.

Foxbody Composites makes one in carbon fiber, but it may just be a cover instead of the full piece.

I would think you need a set up like this?

Thanks for the reply...That's the exact E-brake set up i need.
Wow, haven't heard Pinto and Mercury Bobcat in a while. No doubt, they'd be harder to locate than a fox body at this point. If anyone have any suggestion about an alternative trim piece i'm open to all ideas. The opening in the carpet looks bad and the heat/road noise coming through is not good either. I was considering getting a complete center console from a later model, but reconsidered. Wanted to keep the 79 feel and look. Thanks again for any help or advice.

I see them all the time when I look for Pinto parts for my cars. At times there are some used as well. I did a quick search and found this. Not cheap though.

OUCH!!! You weren't kidding about the cost. Amazing how the simplest pieces cost so much. At least now when i go to the salvage yard i know to look in cars i previously passed by.
