Default First trailer for Ford v Ferrari move (1966 24hour Le Mans race).

The first trailer for the new "Ford v Ferrari" move is out.
This is about Carroll Shelby and the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race.
Fwiw, it seems like it might be the typical "Docu-drama". Still, ignoring the inaccuracies and important facts left out or changed, it looks like a good film.
The movie stars Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby, and Christian Bale as driver Ken Miles.
The movie opens in theaters on November 15th

Also, if you haven't seen the documentary "A Faster Horse", which is about the engineering, design, marketing, building, of the new 2015 Mustang, then I strongly recommend that movie.
From an engineering and product perspective, the movie gives a decent insight into what goes into the design of a real-life product.
Imho, what I liked the best was when they started producing the new cars, and on the production line, they found that on some cars, the exhaust might hit the body. It would be Very Expensive, and a significant time delay, to change the floor sheet-metal, the exhaust mounting, etc.
So the solution? They "clearanced" the area. In plain talk, that means they used a BFH to make room in the floor-sheet area.
    I loved that!

Last, a quick article on the new "Ford v Ferrari" movie:

Watch Christian Bale punch Matt Damon in the face in the first trailer for ‘Ford v Ferrari’
Fast cars and hot tempers are on display in the debut trailer.

The first trailer for the Christian Bale-Matt Damon car racing drama “Ford v Ferrari” debuted on Sunday night, and it’s easy to see why the film has been getting early awards season buzz.

The film centers around the true story of the Ford Motor Company’s efforts to finally beat perennial winner Ferrari at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, a prestigious endurance auto race held in France. Ford enlists Carroll Shelby (Damon) to build the car, promising him all of the funds he needs for a winner. But Shelby insists that will take more than money.

“You need a pure racer behind the wheel of your car,” Shelby says in the trailer. “That’s Ken Miles.”

In the trailer, Ford executives are wary of Miles (Bale), who quickly proves his reputation of being “difficult” by punching Shelby squarely in the face around the 50-second mark.

Along with Bale and Damon, the “Ford v Ferrari” cast features Caitriona Balfe (“Outlander”), Jon Bernthal (“Baby Driver”), Noah Jupe (“A Quiet Place”), Tracy Letts (“Lady Bird”), Josh Lucas (“Sweet Home Alabama”), and Ray McKinnon (“Deadwood”). The film is directed by James Mangold (“Walk the Line”).

“Ford v Ferrari” was originally scheduled to be released in July, but was shifted to Nov. 15, a prime awards season slot. While the 92nd Academy Awards are still more than eight months away, Oscar prognosticators have the film in contention for Best Picture and both Bale and Damon in the mix for Best Actor.
