    Default 85 GT egr spacer?

    Hi, can anyone tell me on 85 gt 5spd ho engine, on the egr spacer the port that has a rubber cap on it that’s circled in red. is that one capped off from the factory ? I can’t remember... thanks

    Hi Airplane,

    Definitley not capped at the factory. There should be a hose going from that port to a T between 2 valves marked Purge CV.

    Scroll down to xctasy’s 7/18 post that shows the diagram. If the carbon canisters have been removed then the port is useless and gas fumes are venting to atmosphere.

    Ok thanks, I’ll look at these diagrams and I do still have all my canisters & lines etc. The previous owner removed the equipment and now I’m putting it all back together again piece by piece.
