    Default 85 mustang alternator gauge

My gauge does not move, stays in the center, but the battery stays up. Could this just be the qauge or something else. Thanks!

The gauge is an Amp meter gauge. I have seen them read everything from virtually nothing to a couple of ticks either way. Personally not a fan of their inaccuracy IMHO. Unfortunately that is what you are stuck with in regards to stock.

I personally usually install a Volt meter in all of my cars either in the info center, or on an A pillar pod. Not sure if you want/need that, but that is how I deal with it.

You can convert the Amp gauge to Volts if desired. It's detailed below in two threads.
