    Default Non working temp guage

I had to replace the heater core in my 84 SVO and after I got everything back together my temp gauge doesn't work now. And yes it worked before. All the other gauges work just as good as before.
Any ideas? Is there maybe ground wire I missed reattaching somewhere?

The only ground is engine block to firewall by the heater core.

What brand heater core did you go with?

I believe the wire to the temp sensor IS the ground. Just pull wire off the sensor and ground it. If the gauge goes up, the sensor is bad. If not, there is a bad connection in the harness, behind the dash, or there is a problem with the gauge itself.
