Brake fluid ???

What is the best brake fluid, Dot3, Dot4, Dot5...
Dot3 Standard brakes, Dot4 ABS, Dot5 Won't hurt paint (I use dot5 in my motorcycle)
Which is better for everyday driving...

Dot 5 is Silicone based and only compatible with Dot 5 fluid. Dot 3, 4, and 5.1 are glycol-based and can be intermixed, although I wouldn't not recommend. Flush the system completely if changing from one fluid type to another. Obviously an emergency top off is a different store.

As you move up the numbers, the boiling point both Dry and Wet increase. Daily driver, then DOT 3 is most likely fine, but if doing all new fluid I would at least move up to Dot 4 at a minimum. Good Luck!
