Define "Better".
"Better" for what? Which 79 springs?

Ed,
Nothing is in your signature line and you don't give any specifications at what the 79 is. So . . . . Are the springs in question from a 4cyl, straight 6, V8, or what? That would give enough detail to help provide answers, opinions, etc.
Generally I would say YES, most of the 93 GT stuff will be better than the 79 stuff. For one stock to stock, the parts are newer and probably have fewer miles, wear & tear. Obviously Ford continued to make improvements, changes, alterations to the Fox chassis throughout production and the 93 model would have all of those benefits.
I know I have posted in a few of your threads, but honestly I don't remember exactly what you are building or the plans are. So a build thread or at least more information as to your project vehicle are always helpful not only to those of us who might respond, but others who might have similar questions, and years down the road when a Search for information might bring the thread back up on someone else's radar.
I have a 79 Pace Car that was a 4cyl/4spd. I swapped SN95 spindles and 03/04 Cobra brakes on to that as well as a complete swap of 03/04 Cobra IRS out back in order to improve the ride and handling of the vehicle. Good Luck with your suspension.

Trey,
The 79 car is a base V-8 4-speed hatchback.
The donor car is a 93 GT and I am going to switch entire drive line and suspension
over to the 79. I will post some picks soon.
Ed
Here are a few pictures of engine, struts, 8.8 rear shocks, crossmember, donor car.
Obviously going from a base model V8 suspension to the GT suspension should be an improvement for the overall handling and performance. The larger sway bars alone will definitely change the handling characteristics alone.
The rear coil over shocks are very interesting. I don't think I have ever seen a pair like that. Good luck!

Thanks Trey,
The fun starts tomorrow with pulling everything apart, checking, replacing bad parts, cleaning and painting as needed.

Hey,
What about the struts, no name but looks like 4 settings. Is this adjustment for compression or rebound...

The strut mounts from the 1993 will not fit in the 1979 chassis.
The brake lines from the 7.5" axle housing will need to be transferred to the 8.8" axle housing.
The 1993 transmission crossmember won't fit on the 1979 chassis.
If you install the 1.30" front swaybar onto the 19790 chassis, you really need to weld the swaybar brackets to the frame rails.

Jack,
If you look closer to the pictures, you can see the modified 93 crossmember, you will see that I just cut off eares of 93 double hump
and installed new bushings.
I am changing all of the 93 suspension to the 79 using 79 strut mounts.
Trey,
After cleaning struts I was able to see part numbers...
They are as you said:
KYB AGX front struts and rear shocks.
I also found out the rear coil overs are made by D&D Motorsports...
