    Default Molding?

Has anyone seen this type of molding used on the Mustang? Not the first time that I have seen this type.

That looks like the one from Ebay that I have seen multiple times. Personally I have NO IDEA where that might go on a Fox.

I am not saying that I am positive it won't fit a Fox Mustang/Capri but in all my years of messing with them I have never seen a molding like that.

Yes, I used the eBay picture for two reasons. First, it’s beed a while since I have seen this type and it was a good picture. Second, a few years ago I bought a similar but longer door sized piece which is too big to get a good picture of. I was hoping someone would recognize it for some other Fox body or something.

I’m guessing it goes on the horizontal surface under the quarter window.

My 79 Capri had this, only in chrome.

I am guessing that that is one piece of the entire set of "narrow bodyside molding". Was an option on 1979 and 1980 'base' model 2-door and 3-door sedans. The base 2-door sedan didn't come with bodyside molding at all so narrow and wide moldings were optional. "Wide" moldings came standard on the base 3-door sedan and Ghia 2-door and 3-door sedans, and the Pace Car and Cobra.

I was not aware of this option. Any pictures of a car with it?

That is the molding for the driver's side front fender, behind the wheel opening. That part number with the "BA" suffix isn't listed in the molding for that year.

    Yes, it’s probably 1” to 1.25” wide.
