That's heading in the right direction. How were the 60ft times?

in car video of one of the runs. I found that leaving from a idle and flashing the converter picks up a little in the 60ft, and gains a mph at the big end, dropping the e.t by 1/10th.

Two words. T5 swap. It's like having and adjustable convertor with a manual vb.

Manual for drag racing? Makes a cool video but in bracket racing there are zero with manual. Also auto handles more power and shifts faster. With the proper setup auto will always win.

Ice the intake and send it again

rear gears make a huge difference on track runs generally.

What is your intake setup, exhaust? what RPM are you shifting at?

I went to a good exhaust and 70MM MAF and 65 MM TB and Typhoon EFI. Not sure where I’m at on power but I had to crank up the fuel pressure on 19’s to solve a chronically lean condition. My motor has an 80’s SD friendly cam in it — you get about the same lift and duration with stock H.O. cam and 1.7:1 rockers. It pulls to just a touch shy of the 6250 rev limiter so I power shift at 6100 and hope to keep it off the limiter.

lots of fun but risky with stock rod bolts

I know some real good stick racers who might debate those points. One who's a member here. (You listening Bob?)

In bracket racing driver skill is a much bigger factor than what equipment he runs.

We're not fast racers, we're more what's known as half fast racers.
