but using a meter at the alternator and battery shows 12+ at idle, (it's got a race crank pulley, and larger pulley on the alternator). This is an 86 Mustang, 3G alternator, relocated battery, cut-off switch wired according to moroso's diagram, same as my other two and they don't have issues. Prior to me taking the car down for a bunch of repairs I had the same 3G on it with no issues, showed 13+ volts at cruise, a little over 12 at idle like it shows now with the meter. I've got ground wires from the engine to the chassis, battery to chassis and battery to engine.
I was thinking there had to be a poor connection between the alternator and gage, but the eec shouldn't be showing low voltage too, especially when the meter shows otherwise....
