Came across a Mustang I am not familiar with and hopefully some of you can tell me if it’s worth saving from the crusher. It is a 1995, supposedly limited production supercharged V6. Not sure what it is

No way, that's a supercharger and ic from a supercoupe that comes with the 3.8 supercharged from factory. It's a conversion. I mean v6 cobra R? That says it all lol
vin came back as a base 6 cyl mustang . you said a 2005 mustang, but looking at the dash and fenders, its 100% a sn95 mustang
Ooops, I MEANT 1995, lol. I couldn't find any info on a '95 supercharged V-6, and the dash badge looks like something made at a fair, not by Ford. Just wasn't sure it wasn't some rare find I had never heard of.
I want the engine

Currently doesn't run. The kid who owns it doesn't know anything other than it doesn't run either. Suposedly the guy he bought it from was a "mechanic" who sold him a non running car, soooo.....
Supposedly it ran at one time. Not really sure. His dad is a friend of mine and the kid who owns it asked me to come look at it and tell him what I thought it might be worth. I’ll ask some more questions tomorrow. He actually thought it was a super rare 1/300 special edition. I didn’t think so, but figured I’d get confirmation from you guys.

Interesting lighter weight app for a SC engine.
Lots of people have talked about doing the SuperCoupe engine swap into a mustang but this is the first one that I have seen that looked close to being finished. Time to start looking into it and get it running. That should be a fun car to drive to work,....but, probably not a good car for a teenagers first car.
I bought a SuperCoupe engine to put into my '65 MGB project car. At 2,000 lbs w/ drivetrain it should have an outstanding power to weight ratio,....if it ever happens.

I've seen a couple swaps like this, never anything that interesting. Kinda slow and usually the donor is already abused .
1985 Mustang Canadian Cobra
It ain't Pretty but it doesn't care
Well supposedly it was running & driving. Also supposed to have a built long block, ported aluminum heads, the headers look like an aftermarket shorty, and supposedly has pulley to "raise boost" according to paperwork the kid has with the car. I gave him contact info for a buddy I race with who has 3 Supercoups, maybe he can get it running. I have a feeling he'll be $5k into a car worth 2-3 really quickly.
I sold a 85 Mustang GT to a friend years ago, he did the supercharged V6 engine from a Super Coupe TBird, along with a 5 speed , and also installed a IRS from a Cobra Mustang. It looks pretty nice, and he says it runs great, but it seems like an awful lot of work, for performance that a 302 is easily capable of .
