    Default Headlight switch question

Since I had dash torn up from the heater core repIacemnent I decided to finally replace the headlight switch. I’ve been meaning to change it for a while now since my headlights blink when I have the high beams on for more than a couple minutes. Since my Saleen is a LX I purchased a motorcraft switch for a non foglight car. Upon getting taking it out tonight I noticed it is not the same. It looks like I have the fog light switch because if has the second plug in the back. Anyone know why this is? Can I use the non fog light switch and not plug in the second plug in the back? Or should I just buy the correct one?

The switch should be the same the plug should fit. I think they just added on and I believe it was call convienence light group. I’m not 100% sure it’s actually for the fog lights.

I read about the convenience light group last night as well but none of the threads said exactly what that second plug is for. Might have to bust out the wiring guide.

Sounds like from reading up on this my glovebox light, under hood light and gas door release may not work without that second pigtail.
