Depends who you talk too. The purist will say you ruined it, but a guy like me will applaud you for adding the more modern efi turbo engine setup.
Personally, all things being equal, I'd pay more for and efi turbo swap over the carb'd setup.

It would be easy enough to change back. Nothing was cut up.
I would say it doesn't decrease the value for sure. Go on Hagerty and look up prices for the earlier years. Non-V8 get a percentage taken off the (more desirable ) V8 estimates. When we had our 79 Tangerine coupe appraised, they could find no other 2.8 V6's for reference or example and had to compare V8's and then do what he (industry) thought was a "fair" deduction for perceived lower desirability.
Being a coupe, the cool colour scheme and overall look and condition I would say you have a pretty good thing going. Plus like you said you have the take off parts also so no real biggie anyways IMO
Thank you. I am upgrading to 16” TRX , FMIC and 3” exhaust. Mike gave me the factory dual tip which will also be installed. It was a show car back in the 90s the owner passed away. his son pulled the motor and tranny and it never went back in.
I like it with the 10 holes. I think they are a very underrated wheel on these cars.

That's awesome! Nothing better than a tasteful upgrade that follows the original intention of the car.

Very nice! Love the tu-tone and the 10 holes. Imo no less value.

Thank you. Can’t wait to finish her. I do like the ten holes but like the new TRX wheels more.
You can't go wrong with the new 16" TRX wheels and good rubber. I was never a fan of the TRX until they made them in 16" and a fatter tire could be used.
