    Default 1986 Mustang GT T-Top

    Hi!
This will be a thread about my 86 GT

It was kind of a coincidence that I bought my first Foxbody.
I Allways wanted a v8 car. But after a friend of mine showed me a Foxbody for sale i was sold right away.
My first where a 1979 foxbody. It was all black and looked like a pacecar, Except for the color.
I had it for about a year before I sold it in 2016 to buy a 86 GT that a friend of mine where selling.
I live in Norway near the capital and took a plane to Bergen (300miles away) to pick this car up.
Its a perfect daily driver in the summer, with the T-Tops and all.
This car has run on the strip for the last 10 years.
And i know most of the owners that have had it before me.
The Foxbody community is not that big in Norway. We are about 50 people that i know about.

    Some facts about the car:

    1986 GT
    T-Top
Canyon red with Scarlet red interior.
    68 302 block with a 0.040" bore.
Dart pro 1 heads and trick flow upper and lower intake.
    349cid with 463 lb-ft and 445 Hp.
    3G alternator
Long Tube headers, Off-road X-pipe and Flowmaster Forcell Cat-Back
Crome moley tubular K member and Controlarms
    Coilovers in the front.
Adjustable controlarms and shocks in the back
    Subframe Connectors
    Astro performance A5 Transmission
    Aluminium Driveshaft
4.10 in the rear with detroit true-track 31 splines
    Hurst linelock
    1993 Mustang Cobra Wheels

A fast and fun summer car :-)

Great looking '86! Loving the scoop, wheels and whole package!

Would love to see more of it! Any underhood pix to share?

At the moment its a lot of repairs going on at the same time.
We startet with changing the heatercore because the old one had started leaking.
We also wanted to fix the harness both in the engine bay and behind the dash.

Now when thats done we found some rust in the floor because of a leaking T-top.
So now we need to fix that before we put it all together.
I Get sad when I see it like this, but I know it will be good in the end :-)

At the moment we are doing some cutting and welding because of some rust in the floor.
It is good that we found it now before it got much Worse.

Nice looking car. I have an 85 that was originally Canyon Red but was painted Jalapeno red a long time ago. It is in need of a paint job and I am thinking of going with black or white to match the dark grey wheels I just bought.
