... yup, any and all such "tin" covers should always get some lovin' (bolt flange straightening, so that THEY SEAL... lol... gee, what a concept) with a hammer and dolly or piece of wood... NOT a bigger hammer and/or great gobs of sealant and/or over-tightening... for the following reason...

Puttin' real good ham-fisted gorilla torque is unfortunately sometimes too common

Morons don’t realize it only takes a few inch pounds to seal a drain plug.

On my Sebring I had to use a hammer and a torch and a cold chisel to get the plug out — how’s that for stupid!

that's crazy. I've had a few oil filters over the years that have been destroyed just to get them off also.

Well I got my fuel pump circuit ran this evening and everything works as it should. I even ran my keyed relay power through my amp pull knob, so in effect I now have a secret squirrel theft/teenager deterrent lol. It's slowly coming along..........veeeeeerrrryyyyyy slowly. Tomorrow i get to crawl under and address the leaking trans tube dipstick and the leaking cooling lines. Luckily I have a crap ton of oring kits from my old job as a heavy equipment mechanic.

Very cool! I'm doing the same thing with my fusible links. I even have the same fuse box! Out of a '90s GM sedan?

yes, mine was out of a Cadillac Seville, Deville. It actually was dual sided with the eight fuses you see and then 8 more on the other side of the power wire. I just cut off one side. Only cost me 10 bucks.

Like my grandpa said..."the 6 P's" lol some of you guys just might know what that means...the younger guys? prolly not but words to live by none the less.

OMG WTF I just noticed while moving my old heads around they have two different casting numbers. One's a DE and the other an E5AE. I know there's not much difference but sheesh.

Yes she is... The engine was the easy part lol now comes the tedium of all the other stuff lol. I will say this however, i got all my electrical from the firewall forward squared away. I tucked what i wanted and left all the components on the inside for ease of replacement. God so much to do lol

Who invented those dumb ass tranny cooler line fittings? Lol both were leaking and of course I couldn't find any so out comes the picks and oring kits... success. Dug out both old seals and got new ones in their place. Ended up having to put almost 6 qts of fluid in. She moved under her own power this evening... holy crap she needs all new suspension. Here's a few pics of her in the fresh air. Name: 20190317_172955.jpg
