Welcome from another 30+ year owner. Cobra looks great!
Mike
85 GT - owned since 87
Nice looking Cobra! I almost bought one around 1988....but the 255 V8 and the auto tranny prohibiting me lol Are those recaros I see in yours? Please show us more pictures. Do you have the 5.0L 302 motor in yours?
Current Mustangs:
82 Silver GT - 5.0L crate motor, Tremec 3550 5 spd tranny, SVO brake kit, 8.8 rear end with 373s
05 Legend Lime Fastback - some mods
05 Screaming Yellow Vert - even more mods including Edelbrock blower
Hey, thanks guys. I found a few more pictures including 2 from 88 right after I got it. I am ever glad I put the TRX's back on.
Yes It has recaros and the turbo 4 has been swapped out with a 302 and 5 spd. Was painted 20 years ago, same original colour - 27 bright red

Hi welcome 0F0 CBR. Glad you joined. Enjoying the photos.
Luv 80's pics. Taking time to do the camera drill back then paid off, being so very valuable now to see.
Lot easier to do photos now, one of the rare inexpensive and efficient benefits of digital tech.
1988 was a dry hot great weather summer in Metro Detroit. Was enjoying my 85 LTD LX, my 1st car with a/c !!
Sister had their new house built that summer. Never rained while house was being built. Solid house.
That is a sharp looking car. Saved it to my files. Calendar quality. Never see many 1980 CBR, much less red ones.
First autumn pic, car looks red orange, great with black trim.
Totally agree about TRX. They dress a car up just right. Have 8. Unusable for driving. Someday will do 16" 'TRX'.
Have enjoyed my 79 Cobra 31+ years (1980). Turbo 2.3 engine has always run fine and dependable since day 1.
Changed to a 5 speed and an aftermarket Core/Hurst shifter. Solid shifting positive gates like a real muscle car.
Finally warm enough today in Ontario to peel back the cover and take a picture of the engine.
I know it is not original but I kept it as nice as I could.
Very beautiful car! Welcome to the forum
Beautiful survivor! Where abouts are you in Ontario? There is a weekly meet at Mississauga Rd. & hwy 401 Tim Horton's parking lot every Friday during the summer. Checkout www.GTAMC.com .
I love the engine compartment shot here!

Welcome to the site. Your car is beautiful. Engine bay is so clean.
Boomer85gt, I am about 45 minutes north from 401 and Mississauga, been over a few times to Mustang Specialtiez as well on Trafalger
I will keep it in mind once spring gets here. I have seen the gtamc forum as well, always surfing for good used parts.
Thanks
Welcome to the site. You have taken quite nice care of your car over the years!
