Holley 4150 throttle cable hook up

I recently switched my carb on my 85 Capri over to a Holley ultra 650 DP. The attachment point for the throttle cable is about 3/4” farther back than the stock 4180. Has anybody run into this before and if so what did you do to fix it? I am looking at a few different solutions to it just thought maybe somebody here has run into it before.
Btw, trying to use the stock cable so I can retain the cruise control.

I seem to remember cutting and welding that bracket. I'll have to do some further investigation.
