Default Using Factory 83 Manual Master Cylinder on 83 GT.

I'm wanting to convert my 83 gt to manual brakes and see that Rock Auto sells the manual master cylinder with push rod for an 83. I assume manual brakes were still available in 83??

My question is if I use this, are the pedals from manual and power brakes the same? Surely this cant be as easy ad buying the manual master and bolting it on is it?

The brake pedal in manual cars has a different piviot point to increase leverage compared to the power assisted brakes.

So there were two different pedal boxes, or just the pedal itself was different? I tried to research the difference between the two pedals, but didn't come up with much. There's lots of info for the aftermarket setups, but not the factory manual brakes.
