    Default 41 years ago

Car was bucked 41 years ago today at DAP.

Misty drizzle all day yesterday and today.
Later will start and warm it up to get some of the dampness out.
    No drive. Too wet out.
Being assembled, was not driven 41 years ago today either.
Wish there was a record of exact time of shift for each step of that.

Ordered new front calipers and brake pads. Received MM steering shaft, 13" front rotors and E-Brake cables this week. All that's needed now is rear calipers and SN95 front control arms for the 5 lug/Cobra brake conversion.

Changed out the 2.3's four spark plugs the other day. Drive today to check.
Temp ran AWSF24C's trying to find non-China stock locally.
Have one new USA AWSF32C plug in car toolbox. NPD only had one Mexican AGSF32C left.
Always have to regap them down to .034"

The Motorcraft part number has evolved. Basically the same price as always.
Now they look like Champions with funky blue stripes. Come gapped at .044".

    AWSF32C black threads USA
AGSF32C SP-447A black extended threads, Mexico
Current are AGSF32CA SP-447CA silver extended threads, China, left gap at .044 for tryout

I installed my new clutch and flywheel in my 84 gt 350 only took 3 hrs but took 2 days to get the exhaust reinstalled. still working on it have dual exhaust and just not made for this car tailpipe hitting everything on the passenger side. car is so quite now without hearing that release bearing squealing. I went with all ford parts the last one was advanced auto parts china special been making noise for 2 years.

Took it out for a nice drive to warm up the engine, then parked it back on the lift, changed the oil checked it over and covered it up for the winter.

Put a new thermostat gasket and some rtv to stop a leak, then I remove most parts of the a/c system except the compressor (gotta order a a/c delete kit first) then stop a exhaust leak( where the shorties n X pipe bolts on), took my wife around the block in it and man oh man!!! It was exating!! Name: 20191109_161947_HDR.jpg

Installed SN95 length 5 lug 31 spline axles, caliper brackets, hard and soft lines on the rear. Removed the Expo upper intake and ordered some small bits and pieces to move forward with the swaps. Contemplating a good summer tire to go with my 05' GT wheels. Thinking of going 245/45-17 front and 255/45-17 rear.

I let today's 7"+ of snow pile up on it.
Then the plows left a wall of street snow behind it.
Windshield and cowl grille are covered.
Could not tarp it due to the fact it rained before the snow.
Then single digit temps are forecast for tomorrow.
The poly tarp would have froze to the car.
Winter storms suck, especially in the fall season. Midwest winter sucks, period.

Pushed 8" of snow off of the Cobra and the Ranger. The worst is always the snow 'wall' plows leave at end of driveway.
Really was not looking forward to the cold and removing snow today, but had to and had a plan.
Snow storm yesterday was perfect opportunity to put a classic early 70's Jacobson 17" Sno-Blitz #2 to work again.
Bought it Sunday at a sale, then went thru it. Runs great, looks almost new. Two cycle snow hog.
Hauled the first one, bought new 12/70, in my 67 Mustang. Is now stored with a broken crank.
Figured id repeat history and also haul machine #2 in a Mustang. Fit inside the car fine.
Deja-Vu. Same sound and smell as the old one. Even did the neighbors drive for free.

How old is the gas? Are you actually getting spark at the distributor and to the plugs?
