Looks like a decent car and worth the asking price if the paint job is quality...however not sure there is ANY truth to this statement: "These rare collector cars have been officially recognized in the GT 350 family" In fact, wasn't this car part of the reason Shelby split from Ford and went to Chrysler?

My point was more about the "recognized in the GT-350 family" claim. I don't think that is true at all. Being on the board of the Indiana Shelby American Automobile Club for ~10yrs, having some prominent guest speakers at our Spring Fling with Shelby heritage and attending a couple SAAC Nationals....I have never heard the 84.5 GT-350 mentioned/recognized, and they certainly don't have a class for them or lump them in with the Gen 1 GT-350's.
