Wow. That’s nice! What’s the color name? I’m thinking about the same metallic dark grey on the 2017s.

It's a 1984 only color I believe. I KNOW the code is 9W Charcoal metallic for sure.

The charcoal paint color for the 84 model year was a one year only color. It was called Dark Charcoal Metallic. With the black trim and molding, the black hood bulge, silver accent and pin stripes as well as the silver 5.0 and "GT" logo, I think it was the best color combination of any 79-86 Mustang. For 85 and 86, they went lighter with the charcoal paint (mainly because they changed the molding and trim color to a dark charcoal), calling it Medium Charcoal Metallic.
