    Default Swap EFI to Carb 86GT (Stock Tank & Fuel pump??)

    Hello Guys ,

    I Have a question.... hope you can help me ,

    I'm gonna swap my 86GT EFI to Carb... i already have Edelbrock Intake Manifuld & Carb 650.... question is :

    Do I need to change my stock Tank & Fuel Pump ???

    There are multiple ways to go about this.

    The simplest is to put a low pressure regulator inline and rig the pump to run when the ignition is on as long as the inertia switch is not tripped.

    The best way is to change wiring and fuel line routing, etc, over so its factory for an 85 and sell off the one year only 86 harnesses.

    Just drop the tank, remove the fuel pump, replace it with a piece of fuel line where the pump came out of and put back in. Add external low pressure pump or mechanical one on the timing chain cover if it has a pump pad.
