Default Thanksgiving pizza and beer at football game?

First, 2x on the holiday wish.

    Turkey, cranberries, and gravy pizza?

Busy place the D is today.
A Ford day in Detroit. Hundreds of thousands of people downtown for events.
Kicks off in the morning with "Parade before the Parade" 10k/5k/1 mile run. 20,000 participate.
Ford is parade sponsor again this year, bringing Mustangs and F-150's parade vehicles.
Ford family's Detroit Lions at Ford Field football.

Watched annual downtown Detroit parade (90 years) this morning on TV with one eye as usual (slept in).
Poor Santa nowadays has no place to go after parade, since Hudson' s store closed in the '80's. Has to stay on float to the end.
Used to make a grand exit the parade scene from float to J.L. Hudson's dept store.
Heard there was was a hidden window on the store's second floor he entered.
Climbed stairway from float to platform and received key to the city, make a short speech.
The high stage finale was the best. Now he just blends into the crowd and fades away somewhere.
Some years a forklift with platform helped him get up there. All looks the same except building is gone.
    Attachment 125159Attachment 125160Attachment 125161
Then took his place until Christmas Eve in the elaborate Santa's Wonderland on the 12th floor.
A version of Macy's NYC Santaland.

Afternoon is traditional annual Thanksgiving Day Lions vs Bears football game on TV.
Play at home every year since 1934, their first year in Detroit. 84 years. Never played in a Super Bowl.

Hope you guys had a good one! Me and the wife went out hunting. Didn't bring home a deer, but it was a beautiful day in the woods of West Virginia. We got home just after dark. She put a turkey in the crockpot and she even managed to whip up a nice spread of all the turkey day staples.

    Default Turkey Day 2023

Hope everyone can enjoy the day. Sunny and 50F.
Basically, the same deal as 2018 post.
Downtown Detroit is busy. Parade with boring commercial sponsor non holiday theme creations.
Model T brigade was nice. Boring choreographed dancers and air floats.
That is ok everyone looks happy.
8-2 Detroit Lions vs Green Bay football game at noon. Seats sold out again.

Looks like it will. For Daytona, Saturday shows a high of 71, vs tomorrow's high of 64, when I'll be there. Not much chance of rain either day, so that's good.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Turkey Day. And got plenty of good eats.
