Default Help Indentify this "BOSS" 82 GT

Need some help to identify if this is some sort of special 82 GT or some dealer decal package. He said it was from Missouri.
Back In 82 I worked at a Ford dealership as a lot boy when the the 82 GT was introduces ..."The Boss is back"..I don't recall the stickers.

Edit: The car has a BOSS sticker on the door, owner claims is's a special "Factory" decal strip package..back in my days at the Ford dealership I have never seen such a "Factory" sticker package.

If you are referring to "The Boss is Back" slogan, I think it was just for marketing purposes as 82 I think marked a big year for the five oh "high output" motor.
    Current Mustangs:
82 Silver GT - 5.0L crate motor, Tremec 3550 5 spd tranny, SVO brake kit, 8.8 rear end with 373s
05 Legend Lime Fastback - some mods
05 Screaming Yellow Vert - even more mods including Edelbrock blower

It looks like his picture didn't take. Seems to me there was talk of a "BOSS" sticker package on some '82s.

I have never seen any official "BOSS" Mustang for 1982. My guess is either a dealer installed graphic or owner installed at some point in time. Just a good 'ole 1982 Mustang GT.

Examine the stickers carefully. On my '83, the "laser" stripes and Mustang lettering all came with Ford part numbers printed on them. They were add on, but official Ford tackyness.

Boss Is Back was just a marketing theme for 1982....as we all know the car did not have a "boss" engine. I have never heard of any of these receiving Boss stickers from the factory....or anything about a Boss sticker from a dealer that would make this car rare, special or anything else. About the only thing I can see that makes it a bit rare is it appears to be 27 Bright Red (if it is still original paint)...which was added to the color options (Med Red, Silver & Black) mid year 1982.
