    Default Replacement door

Hey guys, I guess it’s been a while since I’ve been around this forum. It’s time to get the ol 85 a paint job. I found a lot of rust in the driver’s door, so I went to the pick n pull and picked up an immaculate door off of a 91 coupe. I swapped out all of the innards into the new door and installed it on the car today. The problem is it seems to be sagging about 1/4-1/2 inch. I put in new bushings and hinge pins, so that’s not the problem. My next step is likely to pull the fender and loosen the hinge bolts at the body and try to adjust it up that way. Anyone else run into a similar issue?

With the door open can you pick up on the rear of the door? Or is it solid? If you installed new pins and bushings it should not move at all and you likely just need to adjust the hinges at the bolts.

That's what I ended up doing. Pulled the fender today and adjusted the door from the body bolts. All is well now...one step closer to the paint shop.
