I have two questions about t-top's. I'm working on my t-top Capri and I'm curious as to what this piece of metal is and what purpose it serves? Mine is pretty beat up from years of sliding against it during getting in and out of the car. Can something similar be found to replace it? It looks to me like a piece of anodized aluminium embedded into the weatherstripping.

My other question is door glass interchangeable between the different years of t-top cars? I'm aware that t-top cars have different glass than verts or hatchbacks. My car has a massive scratch in the tint going up the side from slop in the window and it sliding on something inside the door when it rolls up and down. It was done by the PO and I haven't taken the tint off, but it looks like it maybe just scratched the tint, and not the window hopefully. If it did I'm going to need another window for my capri. I'll need to add that to my list of windows to replace, both my cars have cracked front windshields.
