    Default Theft deterrent/ alarm

I'm up near Portland and I have several coworkers that have had their vehicles stolen lately. I've poured a lot of money, time, and work into my car and I'm wondering what you lot have to say about an easy, cheap, and effective anti-theft measure. I've been thinking of putting a hidden switch under my seat at the fuel pump relay. I think this would work and be super cheap. I'd appreciate any advice!

    Fuel and or ign cutoff.
Loud alarm if desired with warning lights.
Ign cyl cuff boot. Pedal, steering wheel lock. Tire boot.
Smoke system to fog inside of car.
Warning signs of camera monitored anti theft system.
Take steering wheel, shifter, or seat with you. Tilt and lock seat back to steering wheel.
Park next to Corvettes or some other hot model.
Do not park in a position to be flat bedded, towed, or leave ft wheels straight.
Anything to delay those rotten thieves.

If you are looking for something simple, I was looking into using this. Just a relay and a key ffob.

Plug and play for trucks but seems like a simple set up to use imdependantly.

I apparently confused the hell out of the guy at TiresPlus by having my neutral safety switch wired to the ignition on my manual car one time (manual swap into original auto car... long story). Trans had to be in neutral to start.

I was thinking about buying an android dash cam. It has a sim card slot. You can actually get a live view of the camera anywhere you would have cell service. You can also have it alert you whenever the car is started, plus all the benefits if GPS real time tracking.

In Detroit, for one, they steal trucks for smash and grabs.
So many stolen cars are involved in accidents
    Carjacking.
Why the heck don't auto companies install cameras in cars for security, theft?
    Something useful. Or do they?
Got them for homes, business. Get with it.
And no to charging arm and leg for it. Like 400.00 key FOB bs.
Vibe alert on phone with tracking.
Outside car light activation that attracts real attention. Like illegal wig wag.
And how about ins companies giving meaningful discount.

HF has wireless security alert motion detector kits.
Driveway alarms that are portable. Work, shopping, visits.
    Trail cameras
    Piercing sound generator inside.
Blinding bright lights that turn on inside car. So what if it drains battery.
What ever used, disguise it so it wont be seen and easily disabled.

THIS! Assuming they make something universal that can be used on a Fox? I have this on my 2002 F-250 SuperDuty as they are one of the hottest stolen trucks in the country. Easy to install, and works great. I also have a FleetSharp GPS tracker on my truck that text's me everytime the ignition is turned on...and of course I can GPS track the truck.

I use a kill switch on the fuel pump in my 88 5.0. $8 part and a bit of wiring, hide the switch inside and your good to go, or not go.

Yes, it’s plug and play for the truck. It’s a relay and a key fob. It should be simple to wire in a remote control relay!

My worn out old 1986GT has a Viper alarm with ignition kill, warn away, and motion detection. The alarm supports rolling up the windows and locking the doors remotely, but I never installed those features due to cost. Its more secure how it is......

Camera stickers and motion sensing camera with WIFI or LTE based data upload to cloud
    GPS tracker like Paddle, etc.

My 1985 GT "Saleen 006" build will have many things and they will be scaled to the level of protection appropriate for such a car.

    Your easy protection targets are:
    - ECU power relay disable
    - Ignition relay disable
    - Starter disable
    - Fuel pump relay disable

From there you get into other more mechanical options.
    - exhaust cutouts so the car is loud as hell
    - Front brake line lock with secondary "hold" valve which keeps the brakes locked even after the electric line lock is turned off
    - "the club" and other similar wheel locks
    - large lock through U-joint to prevent drive shaft movement
    - complete power cut-off

    Etc....

    Best wishes on your setup
