Default Worked on a mustang just not a fox

Got a major step done in this ground up resto. Upol truck bed liner tinted to the original red oxide color that Ford used in 1968.

Thanks Trey. I still have to respray some high build primer on both 1/4's and spots on every other panel before paint. Hopefully I will have it ready for paint by spring. Gulfstream Auqa metallic. Wanna come spray it for me? Not looking forward to getting that color to lay right over all the panels.

I am sure everything will work out just fine. In my experience most of the metallics back then weren't that heavy so generally they spray out pretty well. Obviously gun settings, mix ratio, and having the misc panels properly oriented will determine how well everything sprays out. I always recommend a test panel large enough to help you adjust and set your gun up before spraying the whole body. Helps to prevent simple and easy to correct mistakes. Best of luck and post pictures once you start spraying some color.

Nice looking classic! I still chuckle thinking to myself that at the time in engineering departments there were thoughts like, Hey we can save money on the trunk floor if we just make the gas tank part of the trunk floor.

Or (GM pickups) Hey, we can not use any of that gargantuan space under the truck if we put the gas tank in the cab!

I think that using gas tank as trunk floor is genius and it saves a lot of space. I didn’t save money when I did it to my fox but l’m happy with the result.
