    Default Pace car decal question

I am putting new decals on my pace car but the new decal that goes behind the drivers door is to long. I was wondering if someone with original decals could measure the space between the may 27, 1979 on the drives side so I can see if that’s why it don’t fit. Thanks

The new decal kits are too long in that area. They can be trimmed before applying. The manufacturer has known of the problem for years and never fixed it. The new one will go on the wheel arch slightly. The original ended just before the wheel arch. I had a buddy apply the decal kit on my pace car and left it as-is, but I'm not really a perfectionist. Many things about my car are much better than factory...a couple things could be a little better. No big deal, since mine isn't a show car.

I have seen pictures. I was just wondering if they tightened up the spaces between the date on the drivers side to make it fit. Could you measure the space between the date to see if its closer than the passenger side. Thanks

Thanks for the pictures and measurements. Looks like they tightened up the spacing on the drivers side. I guess Phoenix graphics just prints off two of the passenger side letters. You think they would have gotten measurements from the factory ones so they are right. Guess not
