Default Returning Fox Needs Transmission advice!

Hey guys! I'm starting to work on my LTD Wagon again after a few years while I focused on other stuff. It currently has a '71 302 with a nasty knock which will hopefully be replaced soon with a newer roller engine. Currently I have the C5 from when I had a V6 in the car. After getting the engine started to try and move the car around again, we have no gears at all. No forward, reverse, doesn't even lower idle when put into gear. What I'm trying to figure out is what I should put in? Foxes are extremely hard to find in my area so transmissions from them are pretty much out! Are there any vehicles that will interchange directly, IE no cutting driveshafts etc.?? Just trying to figure out my options as I'm trying to get the wagon up and running as a commuter so I can sell my miata and buy the wife a car! If you've got any suggestions for the c5 as well, I'm open to solutions! I'm not a transmission guy Any input is appreciated!!

somebody just posted a whole list of transmission interchange on another thread... I think it was about how to identify a wc T5 or something like that. There were a ton of potential donors...
