Boy that fluid was dark. I'll post up some pics this weekend!
Awesome! I knew you were out enjoying it. It's no garage queen. None of them should be. You have a very good order you are doing things in. Not the stuff that anyone really sees but the stuff that actually improves the longevity of the car and makes it safer. Plenty of time for the stuff people see. I have one right now that needs flushed for sure.

Congrats as it sounds and looks like you found a pretty nice Stang that just needs a little refreshing. Yes, please post some pictures of the car soon!

I think my next project for the car is having the wheels reconditioned and install some original Gatorback tires that are being reproduced. The tire selection now for 15 inch tires is pretty dismal.

That's a very true statement but on the other hand you don't know how lucky you are. The original Gatorback tires are without any question the worst tires in the history of anything made of round rubber. I would assume that 35 years of technology has made the repo's much better. Just be glad about that.

Yes, I remember the good old gatorbacks. Great in the dry but slippery as hell in the wet!

Why not consider some staggered 17 inch pony's as these wheels are very period correct for a fox? That would be my choice if I were going to go for the stock look.

I will attest to the atrocious nature of the ole Gatorbacks in the wet. Wrecked my 84 T/A twice in the rain due to hydroplaning even at low speeds (30mph or less) Worse tires EVER in the rain IMHO! Honestly NASCAR Slicks couldn't be any worse!

Unless you are trying to win shows, I’d go Cooper Cobra 235/60/15 or Cs5 in 225/60/15 to drive on.

Sorry if I don't get back with you too quickly. I'm a over the road truck driver. So drive and sleep repeat. In Maryland right now. Would love to see your mustang in person. Take care and stay safe!
