Default 1983 5.0 GT air cleaner vacuum connection questions

    Hi Folks,

I just bought a Foxbody 5.0 dual snorkel air cleaner assembly and I'm pretty certain that it was removed from a 1983, or possibly an early 1984 (so my internet searches tell me...).

I am installing it in a non-Foxbody vehicle, and I was wondering if somebody could tell me the vacuum connection routing for this thing? Obviously the the flapper valves in the snorkels were temperature operated?

If this thing ends up just being a decorative item (for sucking in outside air), then so be it, but I'd like to try and hook it up so that it operates like it's supposed to.

Any guidance here would be appreciated.

No one else has responded yet, so I'll throw this out there. I'm not positive if the '83 is exactly the same as my '85, but this is how mine is routed:

    Maybe this will help some.
